Simultaneous Interpreting

Simultaneous (U.N. Style) Interpreting
The highest level of spoken interpreting, it is usually critical for larger multilingual meetings and conferences.

  • Requires special interpreting equipment which allows interpreters to hear the speaker directly through headsets. From a soundproof booth, interpreters immediately translate into the target language, transmitting to audience members wearing receivers.

  • Requires two interpreters per language.

"We have received services from IPI for more than 10 years - throughout that time IPI has been  absolutely helpful and very reliable.   Staff at the office and interpreters provided are always not only professional but very personable and they can be counted on to do a first rated job regardless of size, location, time, or degree of difficulty."

Shigeko Honda, Director, Japan Center & Japan House at University of West Florida and Jikei-American Center.
